The world is evolving everyday providing us with more than only tens of ways to reach one another, but not to properly communicate with each other.
Technology is our friend, yes, but we need someone to be our real friend, we need this real raw soul to soul communication that we are missing these days. Nay, we need the self-communication that most of us are not even aware of anymore.
We are not only distended from the peaceful nature that is about to die due to human's unintended chaos, we are not only missing on the good real time with actual people, we are mostly and more dangerously are so far apart from ourselves. We sometimes even barely recognize ourselves anymore when looking at the mirror.
Most of us try too hard to show their whole social media contacts the life they wish to have and the person they are trying to be, we get too busy with running from ourselves that we get too distracted by that fake image we draw to the audience online instead of actually making the effort needed to become our ultimate real self we can be.
We are missing out on the silence that empowers our inner voice that we are distracted from, most days. We miss out on getting to see ourselves better and clearer, sometimes all the confusion we are drowning in can be flushed down if we put ourselves in the right peaceful state of mind that will allow us to reconnect with our core again.
Subconsciously, some tend to spend a good time only to share it on the internet and give themselves more excuses to stay hypnotized to their cell phone. Most moments are fully appreciated or even noticed after they pass and you start sliding the photographs taken of that moment, but this does not always have to be the case, we can start with now and live the now before deciding to turn it into a photograph that we will later on post on social media to brag about.
We become lazier to the point where we would rather watch a movie under the blanket alone on our cell phone than at the movie theater with our friends; we miss out on too many beautiful group photos that in the future will be a great memory.
So, be lazy but within reason. Do not choose your cell phone over a night out with your friends. Try to lose yourself in a concert overwhelmed with live music instead of cornering yourself with your headphones on apart from all that is good around.
I know our cell phone is a great companion; it gave us the hug we missed, kept us in the company we always dreamed of but were never lucky to have, and made us laugh more than people made us cry. But, whenever you get the chance to open up your eyes and appreciate the ones who love you, seize it. Whenever you overcome your inner introvert and get hyped up for a plan with your workmates, jump right at it.
Because my friend phones can allow you to take a good picture, and social media will allow you to post a good picture, but only a real good company or a genuine quality time will create this brilliant memory behind this good picture.
